Start! and Youth Alpha

Start!

What do Christians believe? Start! is a six-session course designed to help people discover or re-visit the basics of the Christian faith.  Each small group session is held in someone’s home and lasts about 80 minutes, supported by two facilitators. There are a couple of short DVD clips to watch and there is time to talk, listen and ask questions. Participants can ask or say anything without fear of criticism. Everything is in the open, by invitation and with no pressure. If people drop out after sampling Start! no one will contact them. Participants are always free to contact the facilitators.

Courses run from time to time when there are sufficient participants. For more information, please contact Jonathan Berry (01444 455986) or Val Fabb (01444 451805)

Youth Alpha

The Alpha course is also an opportunity to explore the Christian faith.  Made up of 14 sessions it covers questions about Jesus and his death, faith, prayer, the Bible, the Church, choices and guidance, healing, the Holy Spirit – and more.

Our Youth Alpha courses are intended for young people in secondary education. They are usually held in the Autumn term, starting immediately after the summer break, and run up to just before Christmas. The sessions take the form of informal discussions and activities, with nibbles and drinks. They take place in The Old School, next to the Church, on Sundays between 11:15am and 12:30pm.  There is also a sleep-over weekend, usually around Bonfire Night, 5th November.
