Baptism and Marriage
Holy Baptism is an important point in the life of any person, where God’s grace is poured out we become members of the Christian family. Marriage too marks an exciting moment in the lives of two people, where life-long promises are made in the presence of God, a Priest, their families and friends.
Holy Baptism
If you have a child who you would like to be baptised, of if you would like to be baptised yourself, then please contact us at the Church Office. Normally baptism is administered to those living in the parish. For those living outside the parish, arrangements may be made provided that there is some current involvement in either Church or parish life.
Confirmation
Later, you may like to consider Confirmation as a further stage in the Christian pilgrimage. At a Confirmation service, which is led by the Bishop, you will proclaim for yourself the vows that were made on your behalf by your parents and Godparents at your Baptism. Normally you must be at least ten years old, but there is no upper age limit. For anyone wanting to be confirmed, preparatory teaching is given by Nick Wetherall, our Vicar. For further information please contact the Church Office.
Marriage
If you are considering Holy Trinity for your wedding it is required by law that one or other of the couple either lives in the parish or has a close family connection with the Church. We have quite a large number of applications for weddings, so it is advisable not to leave your arrangements too late. For further information please contact the Church Office.
A Marriage Preparation Workshop, offering help and advice, is held annually for couples planning to be married in the Church. For further information, please contact the Church Office.
