Revd Canon Nick Wetherall
The Vicarage, Cuckfield
Welcome to Holy Trinity
If you are planning to visit Holy Trinity Cuckfield for the first time may I begin by offering you a very warm welcome.
Our Church has been a continuous place of Christian worship for over 900 years. The heritage of generations has blessed us with a most beautiful church and wonderful facilities in The Old School which is adjacent. Yet our respect for the past is more than balanced by our need to look to the future. We have a number of activities, plans and projects – many described throughout this website – which are designed to meet the worship needs of today’s and future generations.
At Holy Trinity our style of worship is sometimes described as ‘middle-of-the-road’. That is not as dismissive as it sounds! What we seek to do here is to meet a diverse range of worship needs, reflected in a wide range of regular services, up to ten every week. Music is a very important part of our worship, whether it be with pipe organ and choir, or with our large music group.
Our focus on the future is perhaps best reflected by the scale of our activities for our young families and our youth. I like to measure our ‘Sunday’s Cool’ not so much by the huge number of children participating but by the number of adult leaders involved – over 30!
As a newcomer to the Church, whether you are young or old, there are many other activities that go to build a very vibrant church and community life here in Cuckfield. This website just scratches the surface of them!
As you enter the Church you will find lots of friendly faces and helping hands and plenty of people to guide you in whatever interests you may have. And, of course, do feel free to contact me via the Church Office if you want to talk to me personally.
With every best wish.
Nick Wetherall
Vicar of Cuckfield
