Do you have special memories of times spent at the seaside? Most of us do. But it is shocking to learn that there are many children locally who have never seen the sea; never played on a beach. They will grow up without any memories of such happy, carefree times.
Our Lent Course this year is based on materials from Church Action on Poverty and will challenge us to look at our Christian response to issues concerning poverty, housing injustice, inequalities in our communities.
Our Lent Appeal this year will help address some of these inequalities by directly supporting local disadvantaged families. Our Lenten gifts will enable the Bewbush Academy in Crawley to fund places so that every child in Year 5 can go to the seaside; so that every child can experience the beauty of the coast and have seaside memories to treasure as they grow up.
