Worship at Holy Trinity Cuckfield
At Holy Trinity, worship is at the centre of our life together. Each week offers a variety of services — some quiet and reflective, others joyful and lively — all rooted in prayer, community, and the love of God.
Whether you’re a lifelong Anglican, exploring faith, returning after time away, or simply curious, you are always welcome. Come as you are.
Sunday Services
8:00 am – Holy Communion (Every Sunday)
Begin your Sunday with stillness and grace. This quiet, early morning service offers space for reflection and prayer. We celebrate Holy Communion every week, alternating styles:
- 1st, 3rd & 5th Sundays – Common Worship (contemporary language)
- 2nd & 4th Sundays – Book of Common Prayer (traditional language)
No hymns or music — just a simple, sacred start to the day.
9:45 am – Parish Communion (Every Sunday)
Our main Sunday service — open, welcoming, and centred on the Eucharist. A traditional feel with hymns, readings, a sermon, and music led by our organ and choir, this service brings the church family together in prayer and praise. On the 4th Sunday: the service is Worship for All a more informal and creative service designed to include people of all ages. Children and young people are especially welcome to take part in the worship, readings, and prayers. The service is always followed by coffee and a chat!
Sunday’s Kool – 1st, 2nd & 3rd Sundays at 9:45 am
A chance for school-age children to explore faith in a fun and meaningful way.
Children start in church with their families, then head to the Old School for crafts, stories, activities and discussion, returning in time for communion. All our children’s leaders are DBS checked, and parents are welcome to come and see what we do.
11:15 am – Family Praise (1st Sunday of the Month)
Short, lively and designed especially for families with young children. We sing, tell stories from the Bible, and explore what faith means in everyday life — all in a relaxed, welcoming setting. Perfect for newcomers, little ones, and anyone who likes their worship with wiggles, wonder, and a warm welcome. We share juice biscuits after the service.
6:00 pm – Choral or Sung Evensong (1st & 3rd Sundays)
A beautiful, peaceful service to end your Sunday. Led by our talented choir and using the traditional Book of Common Prayer, this service includes psalms, canticles, hymns and a short sermon. The perfect space for reflection, prayer, and listening to timeless music as the evening draws in.
Weekday Services
Wednesday – 10:30 am – Holy Communion
A midweek opportunity to pause, pray, and receive the Eucharist. This said service uses Common Worship and is followed by coffee, cake and friendly conversation in church. A warm and sociable part of the week.
Thursday – 9:00 am – Celtic Communion
Start your day with peace and presence. This short, reflective service uses liturgy inspired by Celtic Christian traditions, with gentle language, a chance to discuss and reflect upon the days readings, silence, and blessings. Held in the Lady Chapel.
Friday – 11:00 am – Holy Communion (Book of Common Prayer)
A quiet, traditional said service using the beautiful and timeless words of the 1662 Prayer Book. Held in the Lady Chapel, this is a calm and reflective way to enter the weekend.
