Samara’s Aid Earthquake Appeal

Thank you so much for your generosity.  A cheque for £871.50 has been sent this week to Samara which will be put to immediate use. People have also given directly, so our total is over £1,000 which is wonderful.

(If you missed making a donation and would still like to go to https://www.samarasaidappeal.org/ )

Thank you, too, for all the items of clothing and toiletries that have been left in the tower. A total of sixteen boxes were taken to Samara’s Aid in Brighton this week, and will shortly be on their way to Syria.

Tariro: Pigs and Kids!

In these days of rather bleak news, it is good to receive a newsletter such as the one we have just received from Tariro. Thank you for your support in helping to transform the lives of disadvantaged young people in Zimbabwe.

Lent Appeal 2023: Helping the homeless

For this year’s Lent Appeal, we will be supporting two local charities, Crawley Open House and Crossover Brighton,  which support the homeless. Rough sleepers are always in need of socks and underwear. Throughout Lent we will be collecting new items of such clothing and will distribute them between the two charities. Please leave your donations in the marked box in the tower. Many thanks.
