The choir threw a party on Michael’s final Friday practice (25th February), with gifts: a card from the choir club, a soup maker, a basket of vegetables and ingredients (for the soup) and some wine.
Sunday 27th February saw Michael’s final Sunday Eucharist, with a packed church and many more online to wish him farewell.
And who will forget Jonathan Berry’s “Transformation Song”, a music-hall style tune riffing on some of Michael’s oft-repeated themes and messages to us as a parish? (Video available on request; it’s too large to upload to the website!)
