Just as the Outreach Committee postponed a tabletop sale for Samara’s Aid in February (Covid necessitated) we received an urgent request for ‘dignity bags’. A dignity bag contains personal toiletries and underwear for a child of a certain age. Samara Levy on her most recent visit to Syria saw young people struggling in the cold and wet, many without coats and shoes so the request included these new items.
Thank you to all who donated – handmade bags, shoppers, labels, pants, socks, coats, shoes, hats etc. and helped. We were able to deliver 14 complete bags for boys and girls ranging from 5 to 12 years with 10 additional coats and sundry items. Samara received these personally in Brighton when they were delivered in banana boxes.

We were also able to gift £376 to help with more purchases and shipment costs. This is an amazing response for a very impromptu request. Thank you so much for your kindness.
